The Nano Station,[2] originally known as the Nano Changer,[3] is a gimmick that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall and its fan revivals. It is a mass-produced machine tied to the Great Machine that is used to manage a person's Nano collection.[1] Via a Nano Station, a person can either swap Nanos between those in their NanoCom and their collection in their Nano Book or change a Nano's Nano Power with the right resources.

Physical appearance[]

The Nano Stations take the appearance of fairly large, high-tech octagon-shape cylinders. Their upper sections are basically black with blue circuit lines around them. Every other front facet of these sections on the Nano Stations also have two gray panels arranged on top of each other on them, with thin blue cables connecting them. Additionally, around waist height on the Nano Stations are orange rims, with four small computer screens attached to them just below each of the aforementioned gray panels. On each side of these computer screens are also square-shaped pads with hand-shaped blue markings on them. Below the orange rim on the Nano Stations, they have black bases with retractable black feet that are held in placed by telescopic black and blue bars. Lastly, above each Nano Station is a holographic blue sphere with circult-based lines on it and two flat rings around it, with one of these rings being bigger than the other.

Powers and abilities[]

  • Nano Storage: The Nano Stations are able to store an unspecified number of Nanos inside Nano Books. These Nanos can as well be transferred to NanoComs or swap places with existing Nanos in NanoComs.
  • Nano Power Swap: If provided with enough Fusion Matter and the correct Power Items, a Nano Station can switch a Nano's active Nano Power out with one of its two dormant Nano Powers and activate it.

Gameplay[]

In gameplay, the Nano Stations are primarily used by the Avatar to house and swap Nanos. Since the player's NanoCom can only house up to three Nanos at a time, any Nanos acquired after that limit is exceeded will be transferred to the Nano Stations. In order for the player to swap equipped Nanos between the NanoCom and Nano Stations, the player must go to a local Nano Station. Upon then interacting with a Nano Station, select "NANO STATION" to open the Nano Station menu. This menu will displays the Nanos in the player's NanoCom in their respective #1, #2, and #3 positions on the left and the player's Nano Book[2] on the right, which displays all the Nanos that the player has currently collected.

To swap a Nano with another one in the NanoCom, choose a Nano in the Nano Book. The player is then given the option to equip it to "NANO 1" (spot #1 in the NanoCom), "NANO 2" (spot #2 in the NanoCom), or "NANO 3" (spot #3 in the NanoCom). When the choice has been made, the chosen Nanos will switch places.

“  To change your Nano's active power, visit a Nano Station. You will need the correct amounts of Fusion Matter and power items to make the change.  ”

Computress, OpenFusion

Besides swapping Nanos, the Nano Stations can also change a Nano's active Nano Power by swapping it out with one of the two other dormant ones available to it. To do so, the player must first be in possession of a certain amount of Fusion Matter and the right amount of a specific type of Power Items. The Nanos that are looked up in the Nano Book will display the amount of Fusion Matter and Power Items needed to activate their different Nano Powers below those that are available for activation. If a Nano Power meets the criteria for activation, the "ACTIVATE" option will appear next to it when the Nano is looked up in the Nano Book. By then choosing "ACTIVATE", the Nano Powers of the Nano will be swapped and the Fusion Matter and Power Items needed for the activation will be spend.

Nano Stations can be found in a multitude of areas. Usually, next to a Nano Station there will be a Power Shopkeeper selling Power Items.
